Position Title: Business Manager – Outdoor Power Equipment Retail & Workshop
Reports To: DIRECTOR
Location: Innisfail QLD 4860

Primary Purpose

To manage and grow the overall performance of the retail and workshop operations by providing effective leadership, sound business management, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations across retail sales and workshop service departments

Lead, mentor, and support a small team of sales and service staff

Manage stock control, purchasing, and supplier relationships

Develop and monitor budgets, sales targets, and business KPIs

Maintain exceptional customer service and handle escalated enquiries

Implement marketing and promotional initiatives to drive growth

Ensure compliance with safety and operational policies

Report on business performance and identify opportunities for improvement

Key Skills and Attributes

Proven leadership experience in retail, service, or workshop management

Strong commercial and financial acumen

Excellent communication and people management skills

Highly organised with strong problem-solving ability

Customer-focused with a passion for quality service

Mechanical or product knowledge of outdoor power equipment (an advantage)

Qualifications and Experience

Previous experience in a management or supervisory role (retail, service, or related industry)

Business or management qualification desirable but not essential

Understanding of workshop operations and stock management systems preferred
