Popular family-owned bakery café located 15 minutes south of Brisbane CBD, is seeking a casual Shop Assistant/ Barista to join the team at Yeronga Bakery Café. We are looking for someone who is fast paced and has barista experience to join us!

About the role

The casual role will involve but not limited to:

Providing excellent customer service

Assist day-to-day operations of the bakery

Take orders and enter in POS

Barista and all-rounder duties

Must be able to produce quality shots and maintain coffee equipment and grinder

Impeccable hygiene and high standards of coffee machine cleanliness

Work as an integral part of the team

Communicate effectively and respectfully with guests, supervisors and staff. Work closely with store manager to potentially transition into an assistant supervisor

Ensure a high standard of bakery presentation and store’s cleanliness

The Candidate

Minimum 2 years experience as a barista

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Well presented with a great work ethic and a positive attitude

Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Schedule

Shifts usually last 6-8 hours and include some weekend work.
Over 30 hours per week.

In return you will receive

$33.50 per hour + super Monday - Friday (at or above 21 years old)

Additional $6.50 per hour Saturday - Sunday (at or above 21 years of age)
