About the role

This is a casual barista role at Goldies Bake Shop in Runaway Bay, Queensland. You will be responsible for preparing and serving a range of hot and cold beverages, as well as light food items, to customers in a friendly and efficient manner. Reporting to the Café Manager, this role is crucial in delivering an exceptional customer experience at our popular bakery cafe.

There is opportunity for development to a permanent role in the business and with 8 locations across the Gold Coast growth within the company is possible.

What you'll be doing

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, milkshakes and other specialty beverages

Operate and maintain coffee machines, blenders and other cafe equipment

Provide friendly, welcoming and efficient customer service

Ensure the cafe's front-of-house and preparation areas are clean, tidy and well-stocked at all times

Support the Café Manager with other duties as required

What we're looking for

At least 6 months' experience working as a barista in a cafe or similar food and beverage setting

Knowledge of coffee brewing methods and ability to prepare a range of coffee-based drinks

Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, outgoing personality

Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Willingness to learn and adapt to new equipment and procedures

A passion for food and beverages and creating a great customer experience
