Pimpernel Vineyards is a boutique family-owned business in the Yarra Valley. We are looking for a motivated team player who shares our enthusiasm for fine wines and premium wine production to work in our cellar door and to be an ambassador for our business.

This is a full time position Wednesday-Sunday. The successful applicant will be required to be available during holiday periods but not public holidays.

Principal Responsibilities

Cellar Door Customer Service (Thurs-Sun)

Conduct informative tastings

Manage bookings, enquiries and sales using POS and website software

Responsible for updating tasting line up on a regular basis

Process, pack and dispatch orders

Stock control (wine and dry goods)

Obtain and maintain first aid certification

Maintain presentation and cleanliness of cellar door

Work with WHS officer to ensure safety and compliance

Liase with management and part-time staff

Direct Sales

Manage mailing list and membership

Process, pack and dispatch regular wine club shipments

Local Trade (Yarra Valley)

Manage sales to local restaurants and retailers

Provide support at events

Spring and Autumn release weekends

Local trade events

Trade shows

Wine dinners

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

Knowledge of wine styles and previous cellar door/wine sales experience

Current RSA certificate

Current private drivers licence

Highly Desirable

WSET level 2 or higher

Wine production knowledge or experience
