About the role

Indigo Vineyard is seeking a passionate and experienced person to join our team in Beechworth, VIC.

Your role will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our cellar door, providing exceptional customer service and supporting the Cellar Door Manager.

What you'll be doing

Assist the Cellar Door Manager in overseeing the smooth running of the cellar door including acting as team/shift leader when required

Providing knowledgeable and friendly service to customers, guiding them through wine tastings and sales

Assist in coordination of customer visits and booking for groups.

Maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness in the cellar door

Help to train and develop the cellar door team

Assist with inventory management and stock control

Contributing to the development and implementation of marketing and promotional activities

Collaborating with the broader winery team to ensure a cohesive customer experience

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience in a customer-facing role within the hospitality or wine industry

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service

Strong product knowledge and an appreciation for the art of winemaking

Ability to work effectively in a team and take initiative when required

Demonstrated experience in staff supervision and training

Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work weekends and public holidays as required

Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
