Bar & Bottle Shop Supervisor – Midtown Cellars & Bar
Location: Ballarat, VIC | Job Type: Casual (Approx. 30 hours/week across 4 days)

Midtown Cellars & Bar, a vibrant and busy venue in the heart of Ballarat, is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Supervisor to join our crew.

About the Role

As Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the venue. You’ll be hands-on behind the bar, leading shifts, supporting the team, and ensuring customers have a top-tier experience.

Key responsibilities include:

Opening and closing the bar and bottle shop

Cash handling and POS operation

Leading and supporting the team during service

Serving a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages

Stock control, rotation and inventory management

Ensuring a clean, organised and welcoming venue

Assisting with general bar operations and back-of-house duties

What We’re Looking For

Proven hospitality experience (bar/bottle shop or similar)

Experience with bar operations, stock systems or budgeting

Previous leadership or supervisory experience

RSA certification (essential)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

High attention to detail and organisational skills

Ability to multitask and manage time effectively

Ability to work independently and within a team

Physically able to lift and move stock (moderate to heavy lifting required)

Desirable (but not essential):

Wine knowledge

Craft beer knowledge or interest
