Position Title: State Manager – Sales (VIC, SA, WA & TAS)
Reports To: General Manager
Location: Melbourne (Remote worker based in or near Melbourne)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Remuneration: Base salary + superannuation + commission
Position Purpose
The State Manager – Sales (VIC, SA, WA & TAS) is responsible for leading and managing the sales function across the state, with a primary focus on composite materials and vehicular composite panels. The role will drive growth by developing and executing sales strategies, securing new business, and managing key accounts.
The position includes a commission-based remuneration component linked directly to individual performance against sales targets, in addition to a base salary.
1. Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Strategy
Develop and implement the VIC, SA, WA & TAS sales strategy in line with national objectives.
Prepare accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.
Business Development
Identify, secure, and expand new business opportunities within the composites and vehicular sectors.
Develop strategic relationships with automotive, aviation, marine, aerospace manufacturers, distributors, and other key accounts.
Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events.
Account Management
Maintain strong customer relationships to ensure repeat business and client satisfaction.
Negotiate pricing, supply agreements, and contracts within company guidelines.
Coordinate with production, logistics, and technical teams to meet customer requirements.
Compliance & Operations
Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform sales planning.
Ensure adherence to company policies, WHS requirements, and relevant legislation.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the sales team.

Strong leadership and team management skills.
Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Excellent commercial negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to manage key accounts and build long-term partnerships.
High degree of self-motivation, initiative, and accountability.
3. Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a sales or state/regional management role.
Experience in composites, vehicular composite panels, construction materials, or manufacturing sectors highly desirable.
Tertiary qualifications in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
Current driver’s licence with the ability to travel regularly.
4. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Achievement of revenue, margin, and growth targets.
Expansion of customer base and market share.
Retention of key accounts and client satisfaction ratings.
Timeliness and accuracy of reporting, forecasting, and compliance.
5. Remuneration Structure
Base Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience.
Superannuation: In accordance with legislative requirements.
Commission: Performance-based commission payable on achievement of sales and margin targets, in line with the Company’s Sales Incentive Scheme.
Allowances: Reimbursement of approved work-related travel and expenses.
6. Work Health & Safety (WHS)
Ensure compliance with all company WHS policies and procedures.
Promote a safe working environment for all employees and stakeholders.
Report hazards, incidents, and near misses as per company protocols.
