About the Company
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading and fast-growing property developer with a strong track record of delivering landmark residential and mixed-use projects across Australia. With over $6 billion in active and upcoming developments, this business has positioned itself as one of the most dynamic and well-capitalised players in the market.
Known for its innovative approach and commitment to quality, the business offers a high-performing yet collaborative and people-focused environment. You'll be joining a lean, commercially sharp team at a pivotal time of continued expansion.
The Opportunity
As Senior Legal Counsel, you'll lead the legal function across Development, Construction, Sales, and Finance, providing legal advice on a wide range of commercial matters. This is a hands-on role with exposure to complex development and construction contracts, joint ventures, and corporate governance, as well as day-to-day legal support across the business.
While this is not strictly a project finance or infrastructure position, experience with property development, construction law, or real estate transactions will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and advise on a broad range of commercial agreements, deeds, and contracts
- Support legal aspects of major development and construction projects
- Liaise with external legal counsel and manage contract negotiations
- Provide advice on compliance, governance, and regulatory matters
- Assist internal teams with legal queries and documentation across the project lifecycle
- Maintain accurate legal records and support risk management initiatives
What We're Looking For:
- 8+ years' post-admission experience (either in-house or private practice)
- Background in property, development, or construction law
- Strong contract review, negotiation, and drafting skills
- Commercial mindset and ability to communicate legal concepts in plain English
- NSW practising certificate (or eligibility)
- Collaborative, pragmatic, and detail-oriented approach
Why Apply?
- Join a high-performing and values-driven development group
- Be involved in iconic, large-scale property projects
- Take on a broad and influential in-house legal role
- Work closely with senior decision-makers and be part of strategic growth
- Enjoy a supportive culture where your contribution is truly valued
This is a on-site position.
