This large private property development group has a strong multi-billion dollar pipeline of projects in place and is well set for future growth. As part of this they are looking for a new Finance Manager to come on board and take ownership of their project accounting function.

Reporting to the Finance Director, the role will entail:

Manage a team of Project Accountants

Lead end-to-end finance for development projects including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and reporting.

Maintain alignment of project budgets with approved feasibilities and delivery schedules.

Prepare and maintain project cash flows.

Manage lender drawdowns, covenant reporting, milestone tracking, and funding compliance.

Deliver monthly project reporting packs with clear commentary, risk tracking, and budget analysis.

Ensure the integrity of data across financial systems and ledgers.

Support external audits and internal reporting requirements.

Partner with Development, Delivery, and Commercial teams to assess and validate financial implications of procurement strategies, contract variations, and resourcing decisions.

Lead project reconciliations and financial close-out procedures.

Manage the handover of financial reporting to asset management or operations teams post-completion.

Essential Criteria:

CA/CPA Qualified

5+ years experience in property development with exposure to large multi-stage projects

Track record of managing property development projects

Held either Senior Development Accountant or Development Finance Manager roles

Strong Excel skills and exposure to job costing

Commercially astute with the ability to influence cross-functional decisions

Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset

Able to work 5 days in the office
