THE CLIENT
Our client is a respected Queensland-based organisation providing high-quality solutions to businesses and private clients across the state.
This is a key position and requires someone who can work independently with high attention to detail. You must be a self-starter who is able to work well under pressure and meet the business-required deadlines.
The Role:
In this position, you will play a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow and fostering positive client relationships. This is a floating office position, working across multiple departments, so you’ll enjoy variety while supporting key operational functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts and follow up with clients regarding overdue payments.
Essential skills for this role are accuracy, attention to detail, strong communication, and proficiency in accounting software, particularly MYOB. Record and apply credit memos, and adjustments in the accounting system.
Respond to customer inquiries related to billing and payments.
Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to resolve discrepancies.
Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, aging, and collection efforts.
Maintain accurate customer records and update billing information as needed.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Process EFTPOS transactions, maintaining & updating relevant MYOB records.
Assist with daily schedules to support team efficiency.
Oversee logistics tasks to ensure smooth operational flow.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting.
Advanced proficiency in AccountRight MYOB cloud-based system essential.
Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
Familiarity with electronic payment platforms and reconciliation essential.
Experience with SalesIn or ServiceM8 is highly regarded.
A proactive, can-do mindset — you like solving problems and keeping things moving.
A strong work ethic with an ability to work independently in a team environment.
Current QLD Driver’s Licence.
