About the opportunity

We require the services of an experienced and talented Finance Manager to play a pivotal role in our business.

Reporting to an external CFO, you will be responsible for managing a team of 2 offshore finance professionals to deliver accurate and timely financial accounting and compliance, payroll, and ensure that robust controls are in place whilst enabling a platform for business insight and value add is delivered.

The role will lead and manage the accounting, tax, treasury, billing, payables, payroll, reporting, budgeting and controls in addition to weekly operational reviews.

The Finance Manager is expected to make sound decisions in areas of responsibility, ensuring appropriate stakeholder engagement across the whole business. The role requires both leadership and a hands-on approach to successfully deliver the responsibilities.

We require an individual who can work autonomously whilst engaging stakeholders, has deep Finance Manager experience, is a great leader who loves developing their team, yet can be hands on with the team to get the job done. A good relationship builder, who constantly strives to add value as a partner, looks for continuous improvement, has a customer focused mindset, and is a real team player.

About the flexibility

This role is a 6 month contract with a view to move to permanent part time after that. We are looking for someone to work approximately 24 hours/week. As long as the job gets done and you are visible to the business with availability to support your offshore reports, we are open to discussion around the split of hours. We would also like the flexibility to be able to ramp hours up or down as the business requires it.

Pay rate is $55 per hour plus Superannuation.

About your experience

You must have:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in your last or current role, as a Finance Manager in an organisation turning over at least $20m
• Managed an offshore/remote team previously
• Previous experience in a privately-owned business at a management level
• Experience with or knowledge of the Xero accounting system
• Superior Excel skills
