The Role:

We're looking for a Leading Hand Carpenter who's confident, motivated, and ready to take charge on-site. You'll work closely with our site supervisor and director to lead day-to-day site operations, ensure quality workmanship, and keep projects running smoothly.

What You'll Be Doing:

Leading and mentoring a small team of carpenters and apprentices

1-2 years of team leadership experience in carpentry or construction is required

Managing daily site tasks and coordinating with trades and suppliers

Reading and interpreting detailed architectural plans

Hands-on carpentry across all aspects of high-end renovations and extensions

Ensuring quality control and maintaining SEMMBUILD's high standards

What We're Looking For:

Qualified Carpenter with extensive experience in custom renovations and extensions

Minimum 5-8 years of carpentry experience is required

Trade qualification in carpentry is essential

Strong understanding of architectural detail and period home construction

Excellent communication and leadership skills

Reliable, organised, and proactive in problem-solving

Current driver's licence and own tools
