Senior Civil Designer – Infrastructure Projects

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Civil Designer to join a collaborative engineering team delivering a diverse range of infrastructure projects — including roads, rail, bridges, and urban developments.

About the Role:
You’ll take ownership of design deliverables from concept through to detailed documentation, working both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team. This role also includes providing leadership and mentoring to junior designers and technicians while driving continuous improvement in design processes and CAD standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review civil design drawings and documentation using AutoCAD, 12D, or Civil 3D, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Lead and mentor junior design team members, providing technical guidance and feedback.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality design outcomes on time and within budget.
• Identify and implement workflow improvements and CAD standard enhancements.
• Maintain clear project documentation and uphold quality assurance standards.
• Build and sustain strong professional relationships with clients and contractors.

About You:

• 8–10 years’ experience in civil infrastructure design.
• Strong working knowledge of MRWA, PTA, Water Corp, and Local Government design standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, 12D, or Civil 3D (12D drainage experience highly regarded).
• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (Diploma or above).
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate others.
• Experience in BIM modelling and Digital Engineering is advantageous.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities with a focus on quality outcomes.

Work Environment:
Based in their Perth entity, this role offers a collaborative office setting with limited flexibility for remote work. Some travel to client sites may be required depending on project needs.
