What You’ll Do

As a Civil Engineering Manager, you’ll oversee the full project lifecycle — from planning to delivery — while developing and empowering your team to achieve exceptional results.

Project Leadership and Delivery

Lead multidisciplinary civil engineering projects from concept to completion.

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Manage project resourcing, approvals, and authority liaison across all phases.

Identify risks early and implement effective mitigation and quality strategies.

Team Leadership and Development

Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of civil engineers and designers.

Provide guidance, training, and career development to build technical and leadership capability.

Conduct regular check-ins and performance reviews, setting clear goals and expectations.

Foster an environment of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Client and Partner Engagement

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and councils.

Represent Peritas with confidence in client meetings and negotiations.

Identify new opportunities, contribute to proposals, and support business growth.

Ensure a consistently exceptional partner experience across all touchpoints.

Technical and Commercial Excellence

Review and oversee design documentation including stormwater, roads, and services.

Champion design innovation, sustainability, and constructability.

Manage budgets, forecasts, and profitability across multiple projects.

Ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes, and HSEQ systems.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

Drive process optimisation and technology adoption to enhance design efficiency.

Encourage knowledge sharing and new ways of working that improve delivery.

Support the integration of digital design tools such as Civil 3D and 12D.

What You Bring

10+ years of experience in civil engineering, with strong exposure to land development.

Proven leadership of technical teams delivering complex civil projects.

Deep technical capability across drainage, roadworks, earthworks, and utility design.

Strong commercial acumen with proven success managing budgets and profitability.

Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills.

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).

CPEng or working toward Chartered status highly regarded.
