TDN is a not-for-profit organisation with a long and proud history of helping Tasmanians age and live well in their own homes for as long as possible. We’re growing our Intake Team and are looking for a personable, organised, and proactive Intake and Administration Officer to help clients access the right supports at the right time.
About the Role
In this role, you’ll be the welcoming voice and guiding hand for new clients, supporting them (and their families) from first enquiry through to becoming valued TDN clients. You’ll play a key role in ensuring each person feels heard, supported, and confident about their care options providing an outstanding client experience.
You’ll be part of a collaborative team that’s expanding its capability across all intake areas, including CHSP, HCP, DVA, HACC, End of Life, and NDIS funding streams.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing day-to-day referrals and enquiries, ensuring timely and compassionate follow-up
- Progressing client leads from initial enquiry to onboarding
- Registering and maintaining accurate client information in our management system
- Providing empathetic and informed customer service to clients, families, and carers
- Liaising with internal teams to ensure smooth acceptance, allocation, and transition of clients
What We’re Looking For
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Experience in an intake, administration, or coordination role, preferably in aged care, disability, or community services
- Excellent communication skills with a natural ability to build rapport and trust
- A sound understanding of aged and community care programs (or a willingness to learn quickly)
- A collaborative and flexible approach, you thrive in a team environment, even across remote locations
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and client management systems
- A high standard of professionalism, confidentiality, and commitment to service
