We are looking for an experienced Sous chef with cafe experience to join our team. Riva Kitchen Events is a busy cafe | venue on the banks of the Brisbane River providing a fresh, seasonal menu, 7days a week, Breakfast & Lunch. We are now looking for a diligent and reliable chef to come on board and bring a fresh influence to our team.
We are busy and we thrive in an environment that requires a calm and efficient approach to cooking. We are looking for someone with an open mind and passion in what they put on the plate.
A successful candidate MUST have the following attributes:
+ Must have worked as a senior cdp | junior sous chef for at least one year
+ Function catering experience
+ Committed to high quality & consistency
+ Must be reliable, hardworking & punctual.
+ Must work well under pressure
+ Have a thorough understanding of stock and wage control
+ Mentoring kitchen staff & assisting with skill development
+ Thorough understanding of food safety & best practice standards
Weekends are a must with 2 consecutive days off every week.
