About the role

Sage restaurant, a leading establishment in the heart of Broadbeach, QLD, is seeking a talented Full Time Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As a Full Time Chef, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests, contributing to the restaurant's reputation for culinary excellence.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and cooking high-quality, visually appealing dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients

Collaborating with the Head Chef to develop and implement new menu items

Ensuring all food preparation and cooking processes adhere to strict health, safety, and hygiene standards

Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient work station

Assisting with inventory management and ordering of necessary supplies

Providing excellent customer service and responding to guest requests and feedback

Participating in team meetings and providing input on process improvements

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience as a chef or cook in a high-quality restaurant or catering environment

Minimum 3 years of restaurant management experience required

Formal culinary training or a relevant qualification in Hospitality and Tourism

Certificate III/IV in Hospitality qualification required

Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen

Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Passion for creating innovative, flavourful dishes and a dedication to using fresh, seasonal ingredients

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive kitchen culture

Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
