We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Chefs, Chef de Partie & Sous Chef to join our dedicated team and play a pivotal role in delivering the high standards that have made us a regional favorite for decades.
Position Overview:
Extremely busy modern kitchen, you will work closely with our Head Chef to lead the kitchen team, uphold our reputation for excellence, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This is a full-time position offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a long-standing, highly regarded establishment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing creative and seasonally inspired menus that align with the restaurant's vision.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, and service.
Manage and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.
Maintain inventory control, order supplies, and monitor food costs to optimize profitability.
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
Step into the Head Chef's role in their absence, taking full responsibility for the kitchen.
Contribute to the development of new dishes and specials, incorporating local and sustainable ingredients.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Sous Chef or in a similar role, preferably with experience in a similar role.
A passion for culinary innovation and a deep understanding of food trends and techniques.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and commitment to maintaining high standards.
Culinary qualifications or equivalent experience.
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent culinary qualification recognised in Australia.
Minimum 2-3 years experience as a Chef de Partie, or 4+ years for Sous Chef positions
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Full working rights in Australia (Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa)
