Your Role as Duty Manager
Reporting to the Venue Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind our daily operations, leading from the front, mentoring a team of 25+, and ensuring every guest experience is exceptional.
You’ll be responsible for:
Overseeing operations across food, beverage, and events
Managing compliance with liquor licensing, food safety, and WHS regulations
Handling cash, banking, till reconciliation, and roster costing
Managing cellar operations and POS systems (H&L preferred)
Building strong relationships with members and guests
Driving innovation, team morale, and business performance
What You Bring
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Duty Manager role ideally in a high-volume club or pub
Proven leadership, mentoring, and decision-making skills
Strong FOH and BOH operational knowledge
High-level understanding of compliance and the Liquor Act
Exceptional attention to detail and financial acumen
A hands-on, can-do attitude and a passion for customer service
Required Qualifications
Responsible Person (RP) Certificate
Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
Working With Children Check (WWCC)
First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Food Safety Supervisor (or willingness to obtain)
Full working rights in Australia
