The Newmarket Hotel has just undergone a multi-million-dollar refurbishment, blending historic charm with a modern hospitality experience. We’re now seeking an experienced Venue Manager — or an ambitious Duty Manager or Gaming Manager ready to step up — to take the reins and bring this exciting venue to life.

About the Role
As Venue Manager, you’ll have full responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the Newmarket Hotel, shaping its culture, driving performance, and ensuring a standout guest experience. Working closely with senior group management, you’ll help guide the venue’s success and influence broader strategic decisions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading, mentoring, and developing your team
Creating a vibrant, customer-focused atmosphere
Driving sales, profitability, and overall venue performance
Managing budgets, forecasts, and cost controls
Overseeing compliance with all regulatory and company standards
Curating quality beverage, and gaming offerings
Contributing to group-wide projects in marketing, operations, and finance
About You
You’re a hands-on leader who thrives on people, pace, and performance. You know what makes a great venue tick and love creating a space that keeps guests coming back.
You’ll bring:
Proven experience in hospitality or venue management (gaming experience highly regarded)
Strong business and financial acumen
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Professional presentation and a positive, can-do attitude
Availability for weekend and evening shifts
Required RSA, RSG, and RP certifications
Full Australian working rights
