NT Health’s Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) is a specialist, multi-disciplinary service that provides treatment and support to women and families identified as at risk of or having moderate to severe perinatal mental health disorders.
Currently CYMHS has a vacancy in Alice Springs for a Mental Health professional with demonstrated experience and experience in perinatal mental health care and an advanced level of clinical skills with extensive knowledge of professional standards, clinical practices, and mental health service provision.
As a Senior Specialist Mental Health Worker (P3) your key duties include providing mental health assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic support, to women and families identifies as having moderate to severe perinatal mental health disorder. You will participate in the development of collaborative care plans, provide clinical leadership, liaison and consultancy services, and work collaboratively to develop solid partnerships with health care professionals and community organisations.
Ideally, you will be an accomplished MH Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker or Psychologist with registration to practice with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or be eligible for membership of the Australian Psychological Society and looking for an opportunity to support women and families identified at risk of perinatal mental health disorder. Demonstrated experience delivering Perinatal Care and/or Mental Health Services with extensive knowledge of professional standards, clinical practices and mental health service provisions is essential.
