About Us:
Deep End Pizza is a family project showcasing regional–American pizza styles alongside well executed small plates and a quality beverage program. We are a small 58 seat venue, but often manage well over 200 covers in a day plus significant takeaway volume.
Casual, approachable and fun, we offer five styles of whole pizzas, and a sixth in slice format, at a quality level no local competitor can match. We are unwavering in this. If there is a better product we will find it. If there is a better method we will learn it.
We are a chef-owned and run venue, and as such we take our responsibilities to our staff very seriously. We’ll be there working alongside you every day. We have worked hard to build a core team of genuinely nice people who are good at what they do, and to create a pleasant, friendly work environment.
Salary depends on experience. We will have a strong offer for the right candidate.
About You:
Organized and professional without taking yourself too seriously. We are looking for chefs who know how to relax and have a good time while maintaining focus on the task at hand and fundamentals of the job.
Pizza experience is helpful but by no means necessary. Our head chef and many of our best staff have been ex fine-dining chefs. What we are about in the kitchen is taking all that focus on great product and technique, and applying it to a more casual and accessible medium.

As good as our pizza was at opening, it is still constantly evolving and improving. This is a passion project, and we are looking for the kind of chefs who think critically about what they are doing and always want to find a way to do it even better.
Having survived years and years of that old school, toxic restaurant culture, we are not here to work you like a dog and treat you like one. That said, if you’re looking for a job where you can hide in the corner and just go through the motions, this is not the place for you. A big part of maintaining a great work environment is respecting each other and the place enough to stay engaged and making an effort.
About the role:
For full time chefs the week consists of five days of around 8 hours including prep work, setup and service, generally finishing between 10 and 11pm. Expect an average of 38-40hr per week, occasionally maxing out in the mid-40s with overtime paid weekly.
You will be responsible for:
Maintaining composure and organization through busy service periods
Ordering, prep and setup of your section and assisting your teammates
Setting a good example for junior staff
Working well within a small team
Sustaining a high level of service and consistency
Supporting continued strong FOH/BOH relationship to ensure overall team function
Necessities:
Great knife skills
Organization and cleanliness
Positive attitude and ability to play well with others
Strong product and cooking knowledge
We are a great group of seasoned professionals to work with. We are looking to rapidly grow and as such, need to grow the team.
