About Us

IMAGINATIONATION is a brand-new, design-led children’s play and learning destination opening soon at Chadstone Shopping Centre.

Our café is designed to match the creativity of the space itself — serving simple, beautiful food made with care and precision. We’re about premium execution, not pretence, and we’re looking for a Head Chef or Pizza Chef with serious dough skills and creative flair to lead our kitchen from day one.

About the Role

This is a hands-on leadership position for a chef who loves fermented doughs, high-quality produce, and perfectly executed food.

You’ll oversee everything from prep to plate — leading the kitchen team to deliver consistent, beautiful, allergen-free dishes that make both parents and kids happy.

You’ll be working with a Moretti Forni deck oven, creating Roman/Detroit-style square pizzas and house-baked focaccia, alongside fresh smoothies, açaí bowls, and baked treats.

What You’ll Do

• Lead all kitchen operations with a focus on quality, consistency, and presentation
• Create exceptional focaccia and Roman/Detroit-style pizzas using fermented doughs
• Manage prep schedules, stock control, and supplier relationships
• Maintain allergen-free and food safety standards (IMAGINATIONATION is a nut-free venue)
• Train, motivate, and mentor kitchen staff
• Contribute to menu development and seasonal innovation

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Pizza Chef in a premium café, pizzeria, or casual-fine venue
• Strong technical skills in bread and pizza dough fermentation
• Calm, organised leadership style and a passion for teamwork
• Commitment to excellence and attention to detail
• Solid understanding of food safety and allergen management
