About the Role

Business Development Manager
📍 Mackay & the Whitsundays | 🚗 Company Vehicle | 💼 Full-Time

A full unrestricted driver's licence is required for this position to operate the company vehicle.

We're looking for a motivated and customer-focused Business Development Manager to join our team based in the beautiful Whitsundays. You'll be working alongside a high-performing sales team, managing an existing customer base while driving new business opportunities. You will work a mix of in office at our Cannonvale Depot as well as on the road visiting customers across Mackay & The Whitsundays.

For the right person, there may also be scope to expand the role into broader business development responsibilities over time.

What you'll do:

Manage and grow a portfolio of customers across the Mackay & Whitsundays region

Build strong, long-term relationships with hospitality and foodservice clients

Promote and sell a broad range of foodservice products

Meet sales targets and support business growth initiatives

Use CRM tools to track leads, sales, and customer interactions

Visit customers regularly as per your journey plan

Handle customer enquiries and issues promptly and professionally

Stay up to date with market trends and customer insights

What We're Looking For:

You might be an experienced sales rep, or someone from the hospitality or retail sector with great people skills and a passion for food. We're open to different backgrounds and are happy to train the right person.

Applicants must have valid Australian work rights for this position.

Key qualities include:

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Good computer literacy (Microsoft Office, CRM tools)

Strong numerical skills for pricing and quoting

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

Well-presented and organised

Flexible with hours and able to travel locally

Knowledge of the Whitsundays region is a plus
