Wakefield Orthopaedic Clinic provides high quality, specialised orthopaedic care in South Australia. Our team of 18 surgeons are leaders in their fields – with specialist skills across shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, foot and ankle surgery and rehabilitation. We are located in the Calvary Adelaide Hospital.

We require a Full-time Floating Secretary to join our pool to assist in administrative support for the Clinic and to support the PA's, orthopaedic surgeons and patients when their workload requires or when they are on leave.
Duties:
Meeting and greeting patients
Preparation of all patient paperwork
Patient bookings
Completing administrative duties.
Scheduling appointments
Surgical bookings
Billings
Manage Doctor schedule and patient expectations
See to the confidentiality of patient files
Input data into medical software:
Typing reports and correspondence
Typing medical reports and letters and ensuring efficient flow of correspondence
Skills and Attributes:
2-3 years personal assistant/medical receptionist experience in healthcare, including knowledge of Medicare/DVA, Private Health funds and Return to work claims
Experience with medical record systems, preferably Genie Solutions and Gentu
Exceptional phone manner and communication
Outstanding customer service skills with a professional and compassionate approach to patient care
Ability to prioritise and organise workflow effectively
Enjoy working within a team, as well as independently
A fast and accurate keyboard speed and excellent computer skills – minimum 60 wpm. Dictaphone typing preferred
