This diversified, highly respected Health Services Network provide a diverse range of essential Health Services covering a large geographical area across the SE suburbs. With continued investment into resources, this Health network has been experiencing massive growth over the last 5 years.
The role
To start ASAP, this is a fantastic opportunity which will enable you to lead a close knit and high performing AR Billing team as part of the Private Hospital Inpatients Department. Key focus of the role will be to ensure correct billing processes are administered and raised with key internal stakeholders, staff management, and ensuring of effective communications are made with key medical staff. There are also opportunities to implement/identify process improvements where possible to maximize billing efficiencies.
The role will be comprised of;
Duties
- Lead and motivate small billing team
- Medicare claim processing
- Inbound and outbound calls to patients re overdue invoices
- Sending/Preparing patient debt letters / emails
- Tracking progress / reporting requirements
- Debtors reporting
- Allocations
- Journals
- Resolving/Investigating overdue accounts
- Reconciliation of inpatients accounts (i.e. reconciling the General Ledger to the Aged Debtor Trial Balance)
- Effectively communicate status of outstanding fees to Snr Management
- Monitor debtor balances/outstanding payments.
Skills & experience
This role is suitable for an experienced (5 + years) Health-AR Officer wanting to take the next step in their career, or for an experienced Health Billing/AR Manager/AR Team Leader seeking their next opportunity. AR health industry experience is essential, and exposure in Medicare billing and knowledge of Private Practice agreements is highly desirable.
