The Organisation

Our client is a leading public health organisation with a strong reputation for excellence and innovation. They are seeking a skilled Billing Manager to support their finance team during a critical period of transformation and improvement.

The Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Finance Operations, you will lead a high performing team and be responsible for:

• Management and leadership of Revenue Officers specialising in MBS Billing & Compensable
• Driving timely collection of patient and debtor accounts
• Provide MBS advice and knowledge to various key stakeholders (clinical and administration)
• Leading continuous improvement initiatives across the billing cycle
• Managing private practice arrangements and reviewing related agreements
• Developing financial models and business cases for new initiatives
• Ensuring accurate identification and billing of private, compensable, and ineligible patients
• Educating staff on billing policies and procedures
• Reviewing and updating documentation to support revenue operations
• Responding to external queries and liaising with legal and senior management
• Supporting quality and safety initiatives and contributing to a culture of inclusion and respect
  

The Ideal Candidate

You will bring:

• Extensive experience in billings operations within either the public or private health sector
• Strong understanding of private and Medicare ineligible patient billing
• Proven leadership and change management skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
• A proactive, solutions focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
