Sydney Eye Surgeons is a large multi-disciplinary state of art ophthalmic group. We have practices based in Bondi Junction, Hurstville and Miranda.

We have currently moved premises and are expanding our team, looking for 2 medical receptionists who will be predominantly based at our Bondi Junction or Miranda rooms.

Employment options include:

Full time or Part time predominantly based out of Bondi Junction or Miranda rooms

Please note:

All onboarding and training will be held at our Miranda rooms

based in one location with expectation of adhoc days working out of alternate clinic location.

About the role:

Work alongside an established admin and clinical team, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

General medical reception duties

Managing and maintaining patient records

Basic surgical quoting

Medicare billing and bulk billing processes

General housekeeping duties

Liaising with third parties to book appointments and surgical procedures

Managing and maintaining patient records

Who we are looking for:

Australian citizen / resident or have permanent work rights in Australia

Someone with a passion for working with people, especially the elderly.

You are an ambitious, solutions focused and an energetic team member

Strong attention to detail with clear and effective communication skills

Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and accurate data entry

Self-motivated, positive and demonstrate the willingness to listen and learn

Must be able to travel to all three practice locations – Bondi Junction, Hurstville and Miranda

Minimum 1-2 years' experience in medical reception, preferably in specialist practice

Desirable - proficiency in medical practice management software (e.g. Health Track, Best Practice, VIP, Genie)

Basic understanding of medical terminology, particularly ophthalmology terms preferred

Salary is commensurate with experience.
