The role

The Risk and Compliance Officer provides vital coordination and oversight across key risk to support the smooth and compliant functioning of the organisation.

This role will be responsible for leading the development of the company’s quality and risk management frameworks, as well as ensuring compliance and continuous improvement going forward.

The Risk and Compliance Officer will also work closely with the P&C to protect the health, safety, and well-being of staff and stakeholders, while promoting a culture of safety and informed risk management.

Initial Key focus areas include:

Bring an expert eye to CRANAplus’s current risk management and compliance frameworks, analysing existing exposures, identifying solutions and providing advice to the senior leadership team.

Maintain CRANAplus’s Enterprise Risk Register, ensuring accurate recording, analysis and reporting of risks

Implement and facilitate a program of regular risk and compliance audits and assessments, preparing reports and owning corrective actions.

Provide regular risk and compliance updates to Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee of the Board and the Senior Leadership to inform the copany’s overall strategic plan.

Design, implement and maintain an up-to-date policy register of all organisational policies and procedures, reviewing and updating policies to remain compliant as needed.

Develop and support the rollout of policies, training, and communications to embed risk and compliance measures throughout the business.

Monitor workplace incidents, hazards, and near misses, ensuring timely reporting, investigation, and corrective action.

Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organisation’s WHS management system, including policies, WHS Committee, WHS registers, and responses to hazard, incident and near misses.

Ensure CRANAplus remains compliant and best practice in all Risk, compliance and WHS practices


What We're Looking For:

3+ years’ experience in a similar role

Diploma or degree in Business, Risk Management, Compliance or a related discipline.

Experience designing, implementing, and monitoring risk, compliance and quality frameworks.

Ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into practical policies.

Analytical skills to assess compliance and risks, monitor performance and identify gaps

Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to provide clear advice and build a culture of compliance across all levels of the organisation.
