We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Rooms Division Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of Mantra Nelson Bay, ensuring that guests have an outstanding experience while maintaining operational efficiency.

Job Description:
The Rooms Division Manager will be responsible for the overall management of Mantra Nelson Bay, ensuring that all hotel operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires strong leadership, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage staff, resources, and guest experiences effectively. As the Rooms Division Manager, you will be the face of the hotel, guiding your team to deliver exceptional service and maintaining the hotel’s reputation as a top-tier destination.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all hotel operations, including guest services, housekeeping, front desk and maintenance.

Lead, train, and manage hotel staff to ensure they provide exceptional service and operate according to hotel standards.

Monitor and maintain high levels of guest satisfaction by addressing guest concerns, feedback, and special requests in a timely and professional manner.

Implement and uphold policies, procedures, and service standards that ensure consistent service quality and operational efficiency.

Manage the hotel’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, ensuring profitability while maintaining quality service.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations across all areas of the hotel.

Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and development opportunities for hotel staff.

Analyse guest feedback, reviews, and satisfaction surveys to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, maintenance, and safety throughout the hotel.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, licensing requirements, and other applicable laws.

Handle any emergency situations or incidents with efficiency and professionalism.

Create and implement strategies to increase hotel occupancy, improve guest retention, and drive revenue growth.

Report directly to the Managing Director, providing updates on performance, guest feedback, and operational challenges.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Front Office Manager, Rooms Division Manager or Executive Housekeeper in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasts, and P&L statements.

Ability to motivate and manage a diverse team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively.

Strong customer service focus and the ability to anticipate and exceed guest needs.

Sound knowledge of hotel management software and computer systems.

Ability to work under pressure and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.

A genuine passion for hospitality and providing an outstanding guest experience.

A degree in hospitality management or a related field is desirable.
