The remainder of the business focuses on a diverse range of design and manufacturing activities, including large-scale architectural elements, bespoke installations, and specialised fabrication projects across the commercial, public, and cultural sectors. With a reputation for pushing the boundaries of materials and form, the company works at the intersection of design, engineering, and advanced manufacturing technologies.

This includes planning, workflow management, team leadership, and the integration of adaptive joinery systems, smart materials, and digitally fabricated components into the manufacturing process.

- Lead a skilled team of fabricators and technicians, ensuring safe and efficient workflows

- Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to transition innovative concepts from prototype to production
- Operate and maintain a range of machinery including CNC routers, laser cutters, and 3D printers
- Monitor production budgets, timelines, and material usage, contributing to lean and sustainable manufacturing strategies
- Ensure ongoing compliance with WHS regulations and internal policies
- Champion continual improvement and innovation across all areas of the workshop
- Identify and implement opportunities for expanding the capabilities of the factory in line with technological advancements
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in a production or factory management role, ideally within furniture or industrial manufacturing
- Strong understanding of both traditional and adaptive joinery techniques
- Familiarity with digital fabrication tools, CAD/CAM processes, and modern workshop machinery
- Experience working with advanced materials such as composites, shape memory alloys, or engineered woods is advantageous
- Proficiency in software such as Rhino, Grasshopper, Fusion 360, or SolidWorks is highly regarded
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage teams and workflows effectively
- Background in industrial design, cabinet making, manufacturing, or a related technical discipline is preferred
- A strong interest in sustainability, innovation, and design-for-disassembly practices
What's on Offer
- A chance to work within a highly creative, forward-thinking business committed to innovation and quality
- The opportunity to lead a specialised production team working on adaptive, reconfigurable furniture systems
- Access to modern tools, software, and a well-equipped fabrication facility
- Competitive remuneration and room for career progression as the division continues to grow
- The ability to make a tangible impact on product development and manufacturing strategy
