As the business enters an exciting new chapter, this key leadership role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact in the Waste Management and Sustainability industry, from resource recovery, landfill diversion, remediation and recycling.

Reporting to the CEO, plans, directs, and manages all site operations. This entails developing a comprehensive technical and Environmental support service regarding the disposal and landfill facility, including ensuring the conformance and compliance of the operations in line with the site requirements, legislation and service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic direction and set operational goals aligned to priorities.

Oversee all stages of Waste Disposal, Landfill and transport.

Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing cross-functional teams

Drive continuous improvement initiatives, maintain high safety standards, and ensure process optimisation

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders

Take ownership of financial performance and reporting, including budgeting and KPI monitoring

Design and execution of a comprehensive Technical and Environmental support service to the disposal function.

Coordination of disposal operations.

Ensure Environmental Compliance.

Management of human resources including performance management, grievances and staff discipline.

Management Reporting

Minimum Experience:

A minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience in Waste Management or comparable environment.

5 years’ experience at senior management level.

Driver’s license and access to own vehicle.

Experience working in a public service or local government environment.
