The opportunity

We’re seeking a hands-on Accountant to own commission reporting and core accounting rhythms across multiple entities. You’ll deliver timely management information, keep cashflow tight, ensure compliance is clean, and lead a capable assistant—while helping us keep improving the way we work.

What you’ll do

Commission & reporting: Build/maintain monthly commission packs and management reports that operators actually use; drive accuracy and cadence.

Aged debtors: Assist with AR follow-up, dispute notes, and clear comms with ops to reduce DSO.

Financial ops: Oversee billing, payroll inputs, AR/AP, GL hygiene, and P&L integrity across entities; support month-end/year-end close.

BAS & compliance: Prepare/review BAS and other lodgements; liaise with the ATO and external accountants.

Cashflow: Maintain rolling cashflow; surface risks/decisions early.

Budgets & forecasts: Assist with group budgets/forecasts; strengthen internal controls.

Cost & process improvement: Find savings; tighten processes and data flows between finance and non-finance managers.

Grants & incentives: Prepare relevant applications when appropriate.

Lead & support: Manage a finance/admin assistant; pitch in on ad-hoc admin when needed to keep the machine moving.

Nice to have: Experience with Simpro and/or Karbon (ideal, not required). We’ll train the right person.

What you’ll bring

Degree in Accounting/Commerce/Finance; CPA/CA qualified or working towards (preferred).

~4+ years in a similar financial/management accounting role (reporting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis).

Strong integrity, initiative, and follow-through; excellent written and verbal comms.

Proactive communicator who doesn’t wait to be asked—comfortable surfacing issues early and driving clarity.

Proven ability to work across teams and deliver timely, accurate, useful information to operators and leaders.

Organised, adaptable, detail-minded; comfortable juggling multiple entities and priorities.
