About the role:
This newly available Senior Financial Accountant role sits within a high-performing group that manages a large portfolio of government-funded programs. You’ll take ownership of the full grants and acquittals process.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee the full lifecycle of the grants and acquittals process.
• Prepare accurate acquittal calculations and manage audit requirements.
• Review funding contracts to determine reporting and revenue recognition requirements.
• Liaise with finance business partners and operational teams to resolve variances.
• Support month-end, balance sheet reconciliations and grant receipting.
• Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency.

About you:

• Degree qualified with CA/CPA (or working towards)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Senior Accountant role
• Strong Excel skills and sound understanding of AASB standards
• Highly organised, detail-focused and able to manage competing priorities
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach
• Prior experience in grants or NFPs is highly regarded but not essential
