Quinn Allan is delighted to be partnering with a respected investment company to appoint a Financial Accountant to support its finance team across a diverse portfolio of entities. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of broad responsibilities, support ongoing growth, and gain exposure to both corporate and investment accounting.

About the Position
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will play a key role in managing day-to-day accounting activities, supporting reporting requirements, and assisting with strategic initiatives across the investment company. The role will cover responsibilities delegated from both the Group Financial Controller and CFO, as well as work transitioning in-house from external accountants.
Key responsibilities include:

• Establishing accounting procedures for newly created entities
• Supporting sustainability and payment times reporting
• Maintaining fixed asset registers across group entities
• Managing accounts payable and receivable processes
• Accounting for investment transactions across a range of portfolios
• Performing month-end reconciliations and balance sheet reviews
• Preparing IAS, BAS, payroll tax, and FBT returns for review
• Supporting annual budgeting across multiple entities and preparing consolidated reporting

About You
You will be a hands-on accountant with strong technical knowledge, particularly in tax and compliance, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves in a small, high-performing team. Adaptability, initiative, and the ability to balance both routine tasks and complex accounting work will be key.

• Solid experience in accounting and reporting, ideally across multiple entities
• Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws and governance
• A proactive, detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills
• Confidence managing competing priorities across both corporate and investment accounting
• A team-oriented mindset and willingness to contribute at all levels
