Our client is a highly regarded global mining company with its Head Office based in the CBD. They are now seeking a Senior Financial/Management Accountant to join their team for a 12 month contract. Reporting to a dynamic and mentoring Financial Controller, your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Review of month end accounting for multiple entities
• Monthly consolidation of group entities
• Preparation of the consolidated group management report
• Review of general ledger accounts and reconciliations
• Review of monthly board report collation
• Review if AASB16 Lease Accounting preparation
• Analysis of accounting implications
• Assist with review of annual joint venture financial statements
• Financial statement preparation and workpapers
• Assist with tax advisory support
• Lead a small team

Ideally you will be CA/CPA qualified, have a minimum of 7 years' accounting experience, have started your accounting career in chartered, then commercial accounting experience (Mining experience and SAP an advantage), have solid technical accounting skills and be able to work to deadlines.

This is a 12 month contract and has the possibility of extension. Great culture, long term tenure in the finance team and work with like minded professionals.
