Lawson Elliott Recruitment is partnering with a construction business in Brisbane and we are seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join their team. This role has become available due to recent opening in the team and is ideal for someone looking to further develop in their career.

Working closely with a seasoned Senior Accountant, you’ll receive strong mentorship and have the chance to refine your skills in a supportive and professional environment.

Reporting to the Senior Accountant, you will have broad range of responsibilities including:

Process invoices and maintain accurate financial records

Perform bank and credit card reconciliations

Investigate and resolve discrepancies

Assist with preparation of BAS and FBT

Prepare and post journal entries

Support month-end reporting activities

Support Accounts Payable/Receivable when required

Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders

Ad hoc duties as required

Ideal candidate for this role:

Previous experience in an Junior Accountant or similar role

Currently studying or recently completed a degree in Accounting or Finance

Strong communication skills - both written and verbal

Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail

Proactive, reliable, and eager to learn
