We are looking for a talented Bar Manager to lead, inspire, and develop our bartender team to perform at a world-class level. The Bar Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining and elevating the standards of our premium Rooftop Bar, ensuring an exceptional guest experience that aligns with our brand's reputation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily bar operations, beverage program development, and team performance, working closely with the Venue Manager to drive financial success. This includes managing costs (wages, beverage COGS, expenses, maintenance, and overheads), ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations, and actively contributing to revenue-driving initiatives.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented Bar Manager to lead, inspire, and develop our bartender team to perform at a world-class level. The Bar Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining and elevating the standards of our premium Rooftop Bar, ensuring an exceptional guest experience that aligns with our brand's reputation.

Reporting to the Venue Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the daily bar operations, beverage program development, and team performance, working closely with the Venue Manager to drive financial success. This includes managing costs (wages, beverage COGS, expenses, maintenance, and overheads), ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations, and actively contributing to revenue-driving initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and mentoring the bartender team to deliver exceptional service and cocktail craftsmanship.
  • Streamlining bar organization to maximize efficiency during peak service times, ensuring smooth and seamless operations.
  • Curating and evolving an innovative, high-quality beverage program that reflects industry trends.
  • Managing beverage COGS, implementing effective cost control measures, and ensuring profitability without compromising quality.
  • Conducting regular training sessions and ensuring all new employees undergo a comprehensive induction program.
  • Overseeing inventory management, stock control, and supplier relationships to maintain efficiency and product quality.
  • Collaborating with the Venue Manager to enhance guest experiences, drive revenue, and optimize costs.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of two years in a senior bar management role within a high-volume bar or hospitality environment, ideally in a premium venue.
  • Proven ability to elevate the guest experience, with a deep understanding of delivering luxury service that exceeds expectations, particularly for VIP clientele.
  • Expertise in curating and managing premium cocktail, wine, and spirits menus, with a strong grasp of industry trends and emerging beverage innovations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage beverage COGS and drive profitability through strategic pricing, upselling techniques, and innovative promotions, while maintaining brand integrity.
  • Experience in hiring, training, and mentoring a high-performing bar team, fostering a culture of excellence, consistency, and professional growth.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to streamline bar operations for maximum efficiency during peak service periods.
  • Ability to plan and execute high-profile bar activations and events, working closely with marketing and operations teams to deliver seamless experiences.
  • Strong understanding of budget management, cost control, and P&L analysis, with the ability to make data-driven decisions to optimize efficiency and revenue.
  • Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and analytics tools to track performance, streamline operations, and enhance the guest experience.
  • Ability to represent the bar and brand both internally and externally, cultivating relationships with guests, suppliers, and industry influencers.
