We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Function Manager to join our team at the Dorset Gardens Hotel, located in Croydon. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering exceptional customer service and managing successful events.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of events and functions held at the hotel, ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers, ensuring a smooth and efficient event planning process.
• Manage and lead a team of staff, including wait staff and kitchen staff, to ensure successful delivery of events.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability of the function and events department.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and requirements.
• Conduct regular training sessions for staff to maintain high levels of service standards.

Requirements:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and staff.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team.
• Understanding of food and beverage service and catering.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on their feet.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
