Provide strategic advice to leadership driving high-quality, structured health care decisions for adults with impaired capacity.

The Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee (OPGT) is an independent office that provides information and services to the Northern Territory community in the areas of guardianship, advance personal planning, wills and estates, financial management and related matters

As Team Manager – Guardianship Central Australia your primary objective is to manage a multi-disciplinary team delivering an integrated high-quality service within a human rights framework and conducting structured decision making for adults with impaired decision-making capacity in Central Australia.

Your key duties involve managing and supervising complex client caseloads of the Adult Guardianship and Health teams, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements and OPGT guidelines. This involves considering the complexities and ethical considerations relating to advocacy and substitute decision making and contributing to the development of protocols and procedures relating to contemporary adult guardianship legislation, and health care decisions and best practice.
