Tiwi Islands and Training Employment Board is the RAES provider for the TIWI Islands. We aim to develop business and employment opportunities for TIWI's within the context of TIWI culture.

The Team Leader is responsible for providing support to the Site Manager at the TITEB Wurrumiyanga site by ensuring quality services to our employers and participants in accordance with the RAES contractual obligations.

The Team Leader position, ensures efficient, effective and leads high-quality delivery of the RAES employment services contract. The Team Leader position ensures the continuity of employment services by supporting the Employment Consultants on site to provide personalised services to our participants, by supporting participants to build skills and experience leading to paid employment by identifying challenges

The role must adopt TITEB’s Service Delivery Model, which is central to TITEB’s operations, guiding the way we deliver our services and ensuring consistency and quality across all our sites.

While infrequent, this role may require travel between TITEB sites on TIWI to act as a roving employment consultant when needed.

SELECTION CRITERIA

A demonstrated knowledge of CDP/RAES Contractual obligations and ability to interpret and apply contractual obligation and ability to interpret and apply current and emerging guidelines.

Maintain strong, effective relationships with participants, peers and relevant agencies

At least 3 – 5 years of experience in the employment services industry, preferably CDP.

Sound computer and literacy and data management skills

High standards of verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail

Commitment to cultural safety and understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people

Willingness to travel between sites and adapt to changing contract requirements

Proven ability to manage time and workload effectively to meet competing deadlines and a commitment to maintaining a high level of confidentiality and discretion

Work alongside the Site Manager, Employment Services Manager and Trainer to obtain good Provider Performance results (PPR)

Certificate IV in Employment Services
