About the Program
CatholicCare NT is a not-for-profit organisation, providing social services and programs to individuals, couples, families, children, groups, schools and agencies across the Northern Territory. CCNT has a dedicated portfolio for Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) encompassing primary prevention, victim-survivor support (including crisis and respite), and programs for those using violence in their relationships.
About the Role
As the Manager, the role has significant responsibility and reports to the General Manager Operations. You will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating programs for groups and communities to support men who are engaging in violent, abusive and/or controlling behaviours, to change that behaviour. As a subject matter expert in MBC programs, the Manager drives the ongoing development and implementation of related programs, ensuring compliance with minimum standards and NT quality practice element. The Manager will need a good understanding in the application of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy/Training principles. Portfolios may be subject to change within the contract period.
This position has a critical role in maintaining CatholicCare NT’s reputation for high quality and effective service delivery. The person in this position needs to be adaptable and have the capacity to lead and manage a program across multiple sites. The ability to work well with multiple managers and in complex environments will be important. You will form part of the leadership of the organisation and will contribute to the development of the whole organisation. This position is also required to manage relationships with key external stakeholders. The ability to provide supervision that builds capacity to meet program requirements to diverse, place-based teams is of vital importance to this role.
What we are looking for
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, counselling, psychology or related field.
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise in supporting wellbeing through Men’s Behaviour change programs.
- Proven ability to develop partnerships, promote service capability and to represent the organisation in a consistent professional manner.
- Ability to develop strong partnerships with Aboriginal organisations and other services.
- At least 5 years’ experience with managing and supporting diverse staff groups and including the capacity to provide subject matter supervision to staff.
