Position Overview

The Recruitment Officer plays a key role in attracting, screening, and onboarding qualified support workers and allied staff to deliver exceptional care under the NDIS framework. This role requires a strong understanding of NDIS compliance, staffing requirements, and the importance of matching the right support workers to participants’ individual needs.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Selection

Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified NDIS support workers and staff.

Manage end-to-end recruitment processes: job advertising, screening, interviews, reference checks, and onboarding.

Ensure all new staff meet NDIS Worker Screening and compliance requirements.

Maintain up-to-date candidate databases and pipelines for ongoing staffing needs.

Compliance & Documentation

Ensure all recruitment and onboarding processes comply with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission standards.

Verify staff documentation such as NDIS Worker Screening Check, Police Check, Working With Children Check, First Aid, CPR, and relevant qualifications.

Keep accurate and confidential records of recruitment activities and employee files.

Workforce Planning & Engagement

Collaborate with management to identify staffing needs across programs.

Support induction and orientation for new employees.

Build and maintain positive relationships with staff and external recruitment networks.

Contribute to staff retention strategies and a supportive workplace culture.
