The City of Karratha is seeking an enthusiastic and community-focused Leisure Duty Manager – Programs to join the delivery of vibrant and engaging recreation programs across the Eastern Corridor – including Wickham, Roebourne, and Point Samson.
In this dynamic, hands-on role, you’ll coordinate programs and seasonal bookings, drive community engagement, support local clubs and associations, and ensure outstanding service delivery through the supervision of customer service and program staff. You'll also be the friendly face at the front desk of the Wickham Recreation Precinct (WRP), managing customer enquiries, bookings, and payments. This is your opportunity to shape the recreational experience for the region, work closely with diverse community groups, and help bring events, initiatives, and services to life in a meaningful way.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience developing and delivering community programs and events
- Strong administrative and customer service skills
- A team leader who can supervise, support and motivate others
- Excellent communication and community engagement abilities
- Experience in promotions, marketing, grant applications and acquittals
- A genuine passion for active lifestyles and inclusive recreation
What You Will Need:
- Formal qualifications in Recreation or Education programming (desirable)
- Demonstrated experience developing and delivering programs and activities
- Current C class driver’s licence
- Current First Aid Certificate
- National (or Federal) Police Certificate (no more than 6 months old).
- Working with Children Check or provide proof that the Check is under way (e.g., a receipt)
