The City of Karratha is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Indoor Play Centre (IPC) Duty Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Indoor Play Centre and café. You’ll be at the heart of delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining a welcoming and clean facility, and developing programs and experiences that bring our community together.
About the Role:
- Managing the operations of the Indoor Play Centre and Café — from customer service to food safety and presentation.
- Leading and supporting a team of casual staff to deliver an engaging, family-friendly environment.
- Handling customer enquiries and party bookings, making every visitor feel valued.
- Program development that keeps kids active, learning, and having fun.
- Overseeing administration, budget management, stock control, and health compliance.
- Supporting the broader goals of Council by delivering services aligned with the City’s Strategic and Business Plans.
What You Will Need:
- Certificate in hospitality, food / beverage qualification, or demonstrated relevant experience is desirable
- Exceptional customer service experience
- Relevant qualification (e.g. Early Childhood Education) desirable.
- Experience in the service delivery of programs to children desirable
- Team leadership and management experience/skills desirable
- Business / café management experience desirable
- Current C class driver’s licence
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- National (or Federal) Police Certificate (no more than 6 months old)
