The City of Karratha is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Indoor Play Centre (IPC) Duty Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Indoor Play Centre and café. You’ll be at the heart of delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining a welcoming and clean facility, and developing programs and experiences that bring our community together.

About the Role:

  • Managing the operations of the Indoor Play Centre and Café — from customer service to food safety and presentation.
  • Leading and supporting a team of casual staff to deliver an engaging, family-friendly environment.
  • Handling customer enquiries and party bookings, making every visitor feel valued.
  • Program development that keeps kids active, learning, and having fun.
  • Overseeing administration, budget management, stock control, and health compliance.
  • Supporting the broader goals of Council by delivering services aligned with the City’s Strategic and Business Plans.

What You Will Need:

  • Certificate in hospitality, food / beverage qualification, or demonstrated relevant experience is desirable
  • Exceptional customer service experience
  • Relevant qualification (e.g. Early Childhood Education) desirable.
  • Experience in the service delivery of programs to children desirable
  • Team leadership and management experience/skills desirable
  • Business / café management experience desirable
  • Current C class driver’s licence
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • National (or Federal) Police Certificate (no more than 6 months old)
