Position Overview
The Client Relationship Officer is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and building strong, lasting relationships with clients. This hands-on role focuses on client retention, proactive communication, and ensuring a seamless client experience throughout the customer journey. The successful candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and adaptable, with a passion for helping clients and supporting the team.
Key Responsibilities
Provide outstanding customer service via phone and email, responding to client queries promptly and professionally.
Build and maintain positive relationships with existing clients to maximise retention and satisfaction.
Conduct regular follow-ups with clients to ensure ongoing engagement and address any concerns or issues.
Accurately enter and update client information in CRM systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
Prepare and manage client documentation, ensuring all records are complete and up to date.
Generate and analyse reports related to client activity, retention rates, and feedback.
Collaborate with team members to resolve client issues and deliver solutions efficiently.
Demonstrate empathy and patience when handling client concerns or complaints.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve client experience and retention processes.
Manage time effectively to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Adapt to changing client needs and business requirements with initiative and flexibility.
Key Skills & Attributes
Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written)
High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document management
Strong time management and organisational abilities
Effective problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
Team player who collaborates well with others
Confident use of CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Professional phone and email etiquette
Empathy, patience, and a client-focused mindset
Adaptability and willingness to take initiative
Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience in a customer service, client relationship, or retention role (finance or related industry preferred, not essential)
Experience with CRM systems and data management
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
