The Organisation
The Aboriginal Health Council of South Australia Limited (AHCSA) is the peak body representing Aboriginal community-controlled health and substance misuse services in South Australia at state and national levels.
Our primary role is to be the ‘health voice’ for all Aboriginal people in South Australia. We achieve this by advocating for the community and supporting workers through our Member Services with appropriate Aboriginal health programs based on a holistic perspective of health.
Summary of the Role
The Member Relationship Officer is responsible for fostering and strengthening relationships with AHCSA’s Member Services, ensuring a positive membership experience through the delivery of high-quality, professional, and responsive service that aligns with AHCSA’s constitutional objectives.
As the central point of contact for Member Services, this position provides exceptional service, offering Members timely information, advice, and assistance. The Member Relationship Officer plays a crucial role in connecting Member Services with AHCSA staff and external stakeholders, facilitating effective communication across all parties.
In addition, the position coordinates member-focused events, ensures the maintenance of accurate member records, and gathers feedback to drive continuous improvement in member engagement and service quality.
Essential Experience
- Experience in a communications role, including development of communications strategy, event management, organisational communication, engaging with members and maintaining member databases.
- Experience working in a member-based organisation and engaging with members across organisations.
- Experience engaging with Aboriginal leaders, organisations, and communities, to provide quality services.
Desirable Experience
- Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Event Management or related field.
