About the Role
We’re seeking a Part Time (hours negotiable) Finance & Business Support Officer who can bring strong financial management, analytical thinking, and a proactive “get-it-done” attitude.
This hybrid role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety — managing everything from cash flow forecasting and financial reporting to invoicing, payroll, and operational support. You’ll work closely with our leadership team, supporting both the day-to-day running and strategic growth of the company.
No two days are the same, so flexibility and initiative are key. We’re looking for someone who’s willing to take ownership, think ahead, and help us build for the future.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and manage cash flow forecasts, budgets, and financial reports
Prepare and coordinate BAS, PAYG, superannuation, and other statutory compliance requirements, ensuring all lodgements are accurate and on time.
Handle accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and payments
Oversee payroll and maintain employee records
Manage invoicing, quoting, and procurement
Track and analyse project and operational costs
Assist with compliance, audits, and reporting requirements
Coordinate travel, accommodation, and equipment bookings
Provide general business and administrative support as needed

Skills & Experience
Must-Haves:
Minimum 2-3 years experience in the mining industry
Strong financial and accounting skills, including cash flow forecasting
Extensive experience with reconciliations, BAS, reporting, and payroll
Advanced skills in Excel, Xero and data management
Nice-to-Haves:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (or equivalent experience)
Experience with Coal LSL
