Our State Government client is seeking an experienced Business Support Officer to join the Business Capability team. This role provides high-level administrative support, requiring excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities across the team and with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate tasks and team activities in a fast-paced environment
- Manage shared inboxes, process emails, and complete accurate data entry
- Prepare correspondence, documents, and reports to support projects
- Anticipate team needs and provide proactive administrative support
- Communicate clearly with internal colleagues and external stakeholders
- Balance competing priorities, meet deadlines, and ensure attention to detail
Essential Skills:
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities
- Proven experience prioritising tasks and managing competing deadlines
- Experience working with and supporting multiple stakeholders
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and administrative systems
- Initiative, problem-solving skills, and sound judgment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly Desirable Skills:
- Previous experience in an assistant or executive support role
- Demonstrated ability to manage priorities across multiple teams
- Experience in a government or large organisation environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships
