Pyrmont location - $38-42/hr + super – 3 months temporary, potential for extension

Company Background

Our client is an Australian retailer that specialises in beauty and wellness products. Due to high growth, they are looking to expand their finance team to support them through upcoming closing periods, as well as support them through a clean-up project.

Work with a supportive and knowledgeable CFO, with a team around you in Sydney and overseas. No WFH available at this stage.

The Role

As the Assistant Accountant, you will focus on:

Bank reconciliations

Balance sheet reconciliations

Intercompany reconciliations and loans

AR support – generating invoices, receipting and investigating discrepancies

AP support as needed

Month-end closing as needed

Your Background

To become a valuable member of the finance team in the interim, you will have the following skills and attributes:

Immediately available

Degree-qualified is a strong preference

2+ years in an accounting role

Prior experience working within a product-based industry (retail, wholesale, FMCG, etc.)

Intermediate Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables)

Demonstrated strong reconciliation skills

Investigative, problem-solving mindset
